COUNTRY'S GOT TALENT

In order to provide recognition and incentive to amateur singers of Country Music the Canberra Country Music Festival hosts the annual Country’s Got Talent Competition with heats and finals held in the national capital as a Festival highlight during the third weekend of November!

Entries are drawn across Australia. Eligible contestants perform a single song in any of the sub-genres listed above with or without backing CD accompaniment. The top 2 contestants in each category go through to the finals.

Judges are drawn from the media, events, recording and other music industry sectors. Judges rate contestants on presentation, vocal or instrumental ability, microphone technique, audience responsiveness and compatibility with the song selected. The Judges results are combined for an aggregated score ranking and are final.

Best Performer (Overall Winner)
