COUNTRY'S GOT TALENT
In order to provide recognition and incentive to amateur singers of Country Music the Canberra Country Blues & Roots Festival hosts the annual Country’s Got Talent Competition with heats and finals held in the national capital as a Festival highlight during the third weekend of November!
Entries are drawn from across Australia. Competition day is Sunday 16 November 2014. Eligible contestants are required to perform 2 songs in any of the sub-genres listed above with or without backing band accompaniment.
Judges are drawn from the media, events, recording and other music industry sectors. Judges rate contestants on presentation, vocal or instrumental ability, microphone technique, audience responsiveness and compatibility with the song selected. The Judges results are combined for an aggregated score ranking and are final. In the case of a draw, the winner will be decided by a count back. Judges comments may be made available to entrants upon request.
