CAMPING FOR CLUBS AND GROUPS

Click here to join the Festival mailing list.

The 3 Day Festival at the Queanbeyan Showground is ideal for camping either in motorhomes, vans or tents. We welcome campers and are very happy to make the experience all that more special.

A FESTIVAL THAT TRULY WELCOMES CAMPERS

We welcome all campers staying on the Festival site and this certainly adds to the festive atmosphere. The Canberra Country Blues & Roots Festival is a friend to Caravan/Motorhome groups, Country Music Clubs, Dance Groups, Horse/Pony Clubs, Vehicle Clubs and 4WD tours, so we work directly with your group to ensure your stay is memorable for all the right reasons! We know that typical horse and automotive vehicle groups stay for 2/3 nights whilst motorhome and "Grey Nomads" often stay 4 nights or more and we are happy to assist. Where possible, we gather group/club members in the same camping row/area so a common community instantly appears when the vans and tents arrive. Note that the Festival camping site is "Pet Friendly", so visitors can bring and walk dogs and horses as long as on a leash. Again, sites are limited and allocated on first come first served basis so make your booking early. Search this page for the relevant club or group you associate with, download and complete the form - making sure you write the name of your group, club or association so we can arrange for your camping site to be located next or close to your friends! Inquiries can be directed to info@canberracountry.com

  • MOTORHOME + CARAVAN CLUBS

Over the years we have had groups from all over Australia, including Happy Wanderers, Griffith Caravan Club, Campervan Motorhome Club of Australia, Australasian Touring Caravan Motorhome and Camping Club amongst others. We will do our best to place your sites together and advise the performers of your presence for some special treatment! Please note that the Festival site can accommodate campers from 5pm Thursday immediately prior to the Festival to 11am Monday the next day after the Festival. If you require longer time periods please consider other recommended commercial camping areas. Festival Camping and discounted tickets can be purchased in advance and please note that all powered sites are likely to be sold out by Festival time. COUNTRY/OTHER MUSIC CLUBS + ASSOCIATIONS

No other music genre has so many organisations dedicated to music as with Country Music and naturally we love Country Music Clubs and Associations. All our management and many of of volunteers are members of these clubs and so have direct experience in their activities. Over the years the Canberra Country Blues & Roots Festival has hosted country music club members from across Australia and as far as Europe and North America! So don't be surprised if someone pulls out a guitar and starts playing in the campsite area, this is normal! We also welcome Country Music Clubs comittee personnel to lend a hand as volunteers if convenient and certainly please take some time out to have a cuppa with our coordinators as we always enjoy networking. And don't forget we have the Country Music Club Forum on Sunday morning for visiting members to network and air their thoughts and ideas. Competitors in the "Country's Got Talent competition should note that the heats are conducted offsite in an auditorium in 2012 with adjacent accommodation hotel rooms available as detailed here.

As the home of the Canberra Ute Car Truck Muster held onsite at the Festival what could be better than camping onsite with your mates for a great weekend just 5 weeks out from Christmas. So whether you are a vehicle restorer, ute club member or a 4WD enthusiast we'll look after you for a fun filled weekend. We hosted Top Gear's HiLux Artic Explorers in 2010 and the Bundy Girls so don't be surprised what happens this year. We also welcome motor vehicle club committee members to lend a hand as volunteers if convenient and certainly please take some time out to have a cuppa with our coordinators and muster managers as we always enjoy networking.
