LINEDANCING

The following information refers to dancing arrangements for the 2011 Festival.
We will update this webpage when 2012 arrangements are confirmed

We’ve got linedancing presentations and workshops at the Southern Cross Stage on Saturday and Sunday as well as in between various performers on both the Main and True Blue Stages on both Saturday and Sunday. The workshops and presentations are undertaken and coordinated by the qualified Linedance instructors. All are welcome to join in the workshops, public line dancing and the presentations on stage!

A line dance is choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows without regard for the gender of the individuals, all facing the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. Linedancers are not in physical contact with each other. Older style linedances have lines in which dancers face each other, or the "line" is a circle, or all dancers in the "line" follow a leader around the dance floor, while holding the hand of the dancers beside them. Very country and heaps fun!
