VOLUNTEERS

The Canberra Country Music Festival operates with the support of volunteers in making things happen! There are numerous Festival positions to fill with enthusiastic people which when combined make a good festival a great experience!

Volunteers earn a 3-Day Weekend Pass by agreeing to work 4 x 4 hour shifts and are asked to indicate their preferred times on the Festival Volunteer Registration Form. Times available include during pre-festival setup, festival time and post-festival cleanup. Many Festival positions are based on the successful organisation of other events, especially National Folk Festival, Summernats, Major Creek, Harrietville, Grabine and Whittlesea Country Music Festivals - so if you've volunteered at these before, you will feel at home with the way we work.

Work Experience

The Canberra Country Music Festival is a strong supporter of work experience for students, especially those involved in event management, hospitality, music production, film and television coursework. Upon completion of festival shifts these volunteers discuss their experience and are provided with a Work Experience Certificate. All students <18 years of age require parent/guardian permission. Volunteers from the following organisations have participated in our Work Experience program:
